Check the data on wikipdia and confont it to a fansite about Silent Hill in spanish:

Almost verbatim. I think someone is using a translator here and giving no credit nor mentioned a reference where the data was taken from. --Averak (talk) 04:13, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for spotting that. If we haven't provided citations for those statements at all, then they should be removed per WP:V policy. If you're sure the information came from that site, you can credit them with Template:Cite web (depending on the reliablity of the site; fan sites don't normally qualify.) Magazine resources

Edge magazine:

  • Silent Hill; Issue E70
  • Silent Hill 2; Issue E103
  • Silent Hill 3; Issue E124
  • Silent Hill 4: The Room; Issue E139

Of these, I have all but the first. I'll also scan through for other related articles. Marasmusine 09:52, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

I just rewrote this article almost in its entirety since it was almost completely unreadable in its previous form. If someone could review it and re-edit it adding any missing information and / or correcting any inaccurate information, that would be great. SAColorfinger (talk) 18:29, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

I've just had a crack at stripping out the OR and Essay statements from this main article. If someone else can give it a once over maybe that Essay tag can be removed. Marasmusine 07:49, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Update

Current task is editing List of Silent Hill characters to try and conform to Wikipedia:Manual of Style (writing about fiction). Once this is done, perhaps we can address the individual character's articles. Marasmusine 09:08, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

I'll take a look. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 22:17, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Silent Hill influences and trivia

Can I confirm that interested parties have finished trimming Silent Hill influences and trivia before its deletion (per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Silent Hill influences and trivia (2nd nomination))? A show of hands on that articles talk page will be useful, thanks. MarašmusïneTalk 13:15, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

I've seen some of you around this discussion already, which has degraded into Fragments of Jade accusing me of vandalism and harassment and me denying it... Just wondering if anyone has any input on the situation. I know I'm being stupid and I'm backing out of this disagreement because clearly I'm not helping matters. --Thaddius (talk) 02:55, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Embarrasingly, 7 days later the argument is continuing. I'm not sure if I dare bring it to the attention of the videogame project as it's over such a triviality, but perhaps a wider number of editors can help establish concencus. The current discussion includes only about six editors, two of which are anonymous. Marasmusine (talk) 12:07, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Suggestion: All series games to Good Article status

I was just wondering whether anyone had thought to set up a Silent Hill task force, and lo and behold, there it was on the talk page box. I'm not entirely sure how active this task force is, as some of the things such as the to-do list seem a bit out of date. Since the games themselves are the central part of the series, how's about we get every game to Good Article status? SH2 and SH3 already are, whilst SH4 is a featured article; I'm working on getting Homecoming to GA standard, with the plot section remaining and needing a minor trim and full reference set. I have begun to reference the plot for SH1, which also needs a fairly hefty trim, and the influences and references section is probably the biggest offender; on the whole, as the first game in the series, it probably deserves better treatment than leaving it as Start class. I don't know much about Origins, not having a PSP or getting the PS2 version, but some parts of the article like the production history look good, and the whole article could be elevated to above its current C class with some work. SynergyBlades (talk) 01:30, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Yeah...this task force does seem kinda dead. I haven't been very active as of late, but I could see what I could do to help. I might go revise SH2 a bit; I did the first drive to GA it, and I may be able to sort out a few more references. --Lenin and McCarthy | (Complain here) 01:38, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Template

The Silent Hill template that contains a list of games, characters and so on needs updating. Many character links have been removed, which is fair enough as they are beginning to be redirected. TTN has (rightfully) merged SH2 and SH3's soundtrack articles, adding the tracklist to the game articles themselves, so should we remove the soundtrack links in the template, or just update them to point to the subsection of the game articles? SynergyBlades (talk) 02:06, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Unless the soundtracks themselves have received significant coverage (add that to the task force's to-do list :>), I think they should be merged into their respective parent articles and removed from the template. Marasmusine (talk) 10:57, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Have merged the remaining soundtracks and removed them from the template, which itself is becoming rather slimline - not that that's a bad thing, I suppose. SynergyBlades (talk) 03:48, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Notability: Monica Horgan

Would it be worth listing Monica Horgan, actor for Maria/Mary, for deletion under notability concerns? The article is also short, unreferenced and reads a bit like a PR statement in the second paragraph. SynergyBlades (talk) 18:18, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Defunct?

Over on WT:VG, we're discussing the organization of the project and its taskforces. This taskforce seems inactive. Is it necessary? Should it be deleted? — Levi van Tine (tc) 08:07, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

User:Lenin and McCarthy and I had been working on the articles of late, and we've done quite well to get several to Good Article status and to reorganise and compact the structure of Silent Hill-related articles. I don't think it's totally useless, though getting some of the other participants back to work on articles would help. SynergyBlades (talk) 14:17, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Merge this task force

I've proposed a comprehensive cleanup of WP:VG's inactive task forces (which would include merging this task force with some others to form an "action & adventure" task force), if you'll take a look czar  01:58, 6 May 2014 (UTC)
