Alice Underwood Fitch
[edit]My dilemma is similar to another post. I am researching a distant relative who was an artist who often worked in the Louvre copying the masters. Her work is mostly in private collections, but the Northwest Museum has one. The deletion blurb is on her page and although I have done some limited Wiki editing I must be doing something wrong bc someone keeps taking cites down. She recd he Palmes des Ordre in 1908, remarkable for her time and gender. She would make a terrific thesis topic, as the French government wanted her back in the run-up to WWII. On Ancestry I have alot of documentation, but my tree is private. She grew up in Detroit but I'm sure the DIA is unaware of her. If anyone can help get that blurb removed it would be great. There is no way they should take down a woman artist that recd such a prestigious award. Thanks 2603:6080:CE01:AD23:9DFA:FA68:9FC8:BA1F (talk) 22:20, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
- Some people have dug up more sources in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Alice Underwood Fitch. Lijil (talk) 16:15, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
I removed some mangled refs from this article that are possibly the result of ancient vandalism. A review by an SME could be helpful. 76.14.122.5 (talk) 19:33, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
Robin Richmond (artist)
[edit]I'm aware of Robin Richmond, the artist and her work. Apologies, I'm new here, but I do think she deserves a page on Wiki in terms of notoriety. Her work is of the highest quality & she's well known as well as commercially successful. There are two warning notices above her entry – how can I help remove them? Apologies, if I have the etiquette wrong here, but keen to see a talented artist recognised (as an independent, unpaid, person who doesn’t know Ms Richmond. Thanks. Request for Review and Input on a New Article about Michelle Valberg
[edit]Hello, WikiProject Women artists members,
I recently created a draft article about Michelle Valberg, a renowned Canadian nature and wildlife photographer known for her extensive work, especially in the Arctic regions. This article aims to highlight her career, contributions to photography, and her efforts in environmental and philanthropic activities.
As I prepare to move this draft towards a formal review, I am seeking your expertise to ensure that the article meets Wikipedia's standards for accuracy and neutrality and that it adequately covers her significant contributions to the field of photography.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback, suggestions, or edits you could provide to help enhance this article. Here is the link to the draft: Draft:Michelle Valberg
