"Workin' On a Groovy Thing" is a song written by Neil Sedaka and Roger Atkins and performed by The 5th Dimension. It reached #9 on the U.S. adult contemporary chart, #15 on the U.S. R&B chart, #17 in Canada, #20 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #48 in Australia in 1969.[1] It was featured on their 1969 album, The Age of Aquarius.[2]
The song was produced by Bones Howe and arranged by Bill Holman, Bob Alcivar, and Howe.[3]

- Patti Drew originally released a version of the song in 1968 that reached #34 on the U.S. R&B chart, #62 on the Billboard Hot 100,[4] and #86 in Canada.[5]
