Wulf von Schimmelmann is a German banker and corporate director.

Early life

Wulf von Schimmelmann received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Zürich.[1][2] He received a Doctorate in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Zurich.[1][2]

Career

He started his career at McKinsey & Co. in 1972, where he worked in Cleveland, Ohio, Kuwait, and Düsseldorf until 1978.[1] From 1978 to 1984, he worked for Landesgirokasse-Bank in Stuttgart, Germany.[1]

From 1984 to 1991, he served on the Management Board of DG Bank in Frankfurt.[1] He served on the Board of Managing Directors of BHF Bank from 1991 to 1999.[1] He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Deutsche Postbank, a German retail bank, from 1999 to 2001.[1][2]

He has served on the Board of Directors of Accenture since 2001.[1] He also serves on the Board of Directors of Thomson Reuters.[1] Additionally, he serves on the Supervisory Boards of Deutsche Post and Maxingvest.[1][3]
