Yerevan City Council elections will be held on September 23, 2018[1]. The snap election was trigged after the resignation of former mayor Taron Margaryan amid the aftermath of the 2018 Armenian Velvet Revolution.
Parties
Three parties has declared that they will take part in election and already made a decision about the candidate for the Mayor.
- Civil Contract—Hayk Marutyan, actor, producer, activist[2]
- Prosperous Armenia—Naira Zohrabyan, MP of the National Assembly[3]
- Yerkir Tsirani—Zaruhi Postanjyan, member of Yerevan City Council, former MP[4]
Some parties have declared their intention to participate
- Alliance of Bright Armenia and Republic—Artak Zeynalyan, Minister of Justice[5]
- Heritage—Raffi Hovannisian[6]
- Armenian Revolutionary Federation—TBD[7]
- Pan-Armenian National Movement—Ararat Zurabyan
