Yevgeni Gennadyevich Smertin (Russian: Евгений Геннадьевич Смертин; born January 17, 1969 in Barnaul) is a retired Russian professional footballer and a current football coach. He made his debut in the Soviet Top League in 1988 for FC Dynamo Moscow.[1] He is the older brother of Alexei Smertin.
