Young O. Kim is an American politician who formerly served in the California State Assembly as a Republican representing the 65th Assembly District, encompassing parts of northern Orange County.
She was elected to the Assembly in 2014 after unseating Democratic Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva. In 2016, in turn, Quirk-Silva unseated Kim in a rematch.[1] Prior to being elected to the Assembly, she was the Director of Community Relations and Asian Affairs for Congressman Ed Royce.
