Zhang Juncai (born 1966) is one of the world's tallest people, standing at least 2.42 meters (7 ft 11 in) tall.[1]

Biography

Juncai is from Shanxi Province, China. He was verified as China's tallest man on 23 November 2004 at 2.42 meters (7 ft 11 in). He stands 6 cm (2.4 in) taller than Bao Xishun, 10 cm (3.9 in) shorter than Sultan Kösen and 72 cm (28 in) taller than the average Chinese man. Zhang went to the hospital on 16 April 2009, to visit his friend, the 2.36-meter (7 ft 9 in) tallest living woman Yao Defen, who would eventually fall over and injure her head.
