hallo Firefly, the lintertables has two new categories, but your tool dosent show them. It would be nice if you can expand the tool for special:LintErrors/duplicate-ids (high priority), the other one Special:LintErrors/night-mode-unaware-background-color is not that nessesary. I oppose the addition of the Duplicate IDs category. It has too many unfixable false positives right now. It is also unclear whether the dark mode issues can or should be fixed in all cases. Please discuss at Wikipedia talk:Linter. – Jonesey95 (talk) 04:20, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This might be in en:wp, but in de:wp I do think we would manage most of the doubled ID problems (only coordinate ids would be a problem). My intention for the request is to update our statistic with reliable numbers, there is one Editor who calls us for lying because we do not yet put the numbers into the statistic see here. And I do not like to be called a liar. But the numbers in the specialpages are not valid (once they show 667.171 errors [same in both categories] at other times there are actualy 233.058 duplicate ids, so wich number of errors is correct?), only fireflytool shows usable (trustable) numbers of errors. I do not know how to get reliable numbers in any other way. For darkmode i agree, this is to much and too inprecise analised. But even there we managed to reduce the errores by several million. --Lómelinde (talk) 06:11, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team

Firefly Bot

[edit]

Hey, Firefly,

I run into instances where Firefly Bot hasn't notified editors at 5 months about an expiring draft but I usually forget the name of the draft. This time, I noticed that no notice was posted to the creator of User:GirlhoodStudies123/sandbox so I thought I'd bring it to your attention. It looks like you aren't active right now but I'll still post this here. I'll post if I see more examples but this might just be happening for User space drafts. Liz Read!
