Soni Petrovski (Macedonian: Сони Петровски)(born in Sydney, Australia 1977) is a Macedonian composer. He graduated composition with Prof.Goce Kolarovski at the UKIM Faculty of Music in Skopje [1], Macedonia. He received his Master's degree at the same Faculty in 2009.
In 1999 he becomes a member of the Composers Association of Macedonia - SOCOM [2], where he has been member of the Presidential Board (2002-2006 and since 2009). Since 2001 he works as a teaching assistant at the Sts Cyrillus & Methodius University - Faculty of Music in Skopje [3], Macedonia. From 2003-2005 he was artistic director of the music festival "Days of Macedonian Music". From 1998-2006 he was founder and artistic director of Alea Contemporary Music Ensemble, promoting contemporary Macedonian music abroad. His works have been performed by numerous music artists and ensembles such as: Toše Proeski, Igor Durlovski, Ana Durlovski, Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra [4], Macedonian Opera & Ballet, Alea Contemporary Ensemble, Ixoim Ensemble, Reconsil Ensemble. His works have been performed in Macedonian, Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosova, Croatia, France, Hungary, Austria, Italy, Germany, Poland, Russia, Denmark, Netherlands, Great Britain, New Zealand, Canada. His works have been published by SOCOM, Jeunesses Musicales of Macedonia, Trio Interart, City Records, Hit Records, Hi-Fi Centar. In 2009 he received the "Panche Peshev" award by SOCOM.
