Radio stations, infoboxes, etc.

[edit]

Hi! Check out the article I just did over at KPLM if you'd like to add a taxobox to your radio station articles. Enjoy! - Lucky 6.9 07:41, 8 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Good point though; there doesn't seem to be a standard for taxoboxes. I cribbed the one off the article at KLOS and plugged in KPLM's info. I'm half-tempted to add the weekday jock lineup and some other tidbits, but most of the other articles I've seen don't mention the air talent. There are a couple of other area stations with an interesting history. KWXY is one of the last beautiful music stations in the country and it's been that way since 1965. KCLB is a heritage rocker and KDES is a heritage oldies station. KNWZ is a news/talk that started as a small-market experiment to see whether or not a 24/7 news station a la KCBS or KNX might be doable. Come to think of it, I may have stumbled on a new project...! - Lucky 6.9 16:51, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Social Credit

[edit]

I am curious to know how this change [1] "corrects a misleading statement"? Social Credit never won a federal seat in English Canada again, as far as I know. Ground Zero | t 12:40, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The previous version suggested that the Social Credit Party did win seats outside of Quebec in 1968 (they did not). — ABCXYZ (talk) 17:20, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Parti nationale populaire

[edit]

Thanks for digging up the party logo! This is a great addition to the article. Regards, Ground Zero | t 23:25, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, I've just spent some time correcting the list (pre-20th century stuff)... will update the image later tonight. Thanks for drawing it to my attention. Tompw (talk) 21:56, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:CJMS 1280 logo.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:CJMS 1280 logo.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:24, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of WEAV

[edit]

A tag has been placed on WEAV requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. — dαlus Contribs /Improve 09:04, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello ABCXYZ! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 710 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Jacques Doucet (sportscaster) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Paul Arcand - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Followup RFC to WP:RFC/AAT now in community feedback phase

[edit]

Hello. As a participant in Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion article titles, you may wish to register an opinion on its followup RFC, Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Abortion advocacy movement coverage, which is now in its community feedback phase. Please note that WP:RFC/AAMC is not simply a repeat of WP:RFC/AAT, and is attempting to achieve better results by asking a more narrowly-focused, policy-based question of the community. Assumptions based on the previous RFC should be discarded before participation, particularly the assumption that Wikipedia has or inherently needs to have articles covering generalized perspective on each side of abortion advocacy, and that what we are trying to do is come up with labels for that. Thanks! —chaos5023 20:25, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Social Credit fed logo 79-80.svg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Social Credit fed logo 79-80.svg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:07, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect CFQR. Since you had some involvement with the CFQR redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. John123521 (Talk-Contib.) RA 11:58, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
