License tagging for Image:DSC01684.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DSC01684.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:06, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

File:Bigfoot Truck9.jpg[edit]

Hi, thanks for uploading File:Bigfoot Truck9.jpg, and thanks for being careful about the copyright stuff. In this case, I think there isn't really a need for declaring it non-free, as it's not really a "copyrighted 3D artwork" – a truck, even with such bizarre modifications, is still primarily a utilitarian object and not a "work" in the sense of copyright law. So, if the photograph as such is yours as you say, I think there's nothing preventing you from declaring it your own freely-licensed work. Would you like to re-tag it? Thanks, – Fut.Perf. 06:44, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(P.S. same thing for File:Bigfoot Fastrax.jpg.) Fut.Perf. 06:46, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
