Sure Jimmy - plenty of info (and pictures) in the Reference Section of the William Patricl Library in Kirkintilloch.

Hello there. You wouldn't happen to have a larger version of the 1923 Paisley map showing more of the town ?

thanks

Eric

Sure - Where do you want it centred on, I can email you a JPEG of it.

Raymond

Excellent !

I am interested in the railways that went through the town. Most importantly around Jenny's Well, Hawkhead Hospital and Dykebar Hospital which are close together, just a fraction off the section you put on Wikipedia. So centred on Hawkhead road at Barrhead road where Dykebar Station was.

The other area is from Fulbar Road to Stanely dam which is a lot bigger but it's only a strip from the edge of Elderslie golf course to the west of the dam. Basically Foxbar today.

My email address is sealed@ntlworld.com

much appreciated

Eric

License tagging for Image:HamiltonHill1923.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:HamiltonHill1923.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:07, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your edit to this article, but where did you get the information? Please add citations to your sources. Wikipedia requires this. Please see WP:verify. Thanks! -- Ssilvers (talk) 18:13, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Rfultoncover.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Rfultoncover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Geographic coordinates[edit]

I know it's a long time ago, but this edit of yours ... what were you thinking? 15 decimal planes of latitude or longitude is probably sufficient to identify a place down to the nearest quark or atom - Wikipedia:WikiProject Geographical coordinates#Precision notes that 6dp is just less than 6cm. Please give some thought to whether you have done the same on other pages - it really is more than unacceptable. thanks --Tagishsimon (talk) 17:24, 2 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
