Jhumar or Jhoomar (also called Ghumbar in the Sandalbar area) is a traditional Seraiki dance in Pakistan, it originates from the Southern Punjab. [1][2][3] It is also popular in the Sandalbar areas of Punjab. It is slower and more rhythmic form.[4][5] The word "Jhumar" comes from Jhum/Jhoom, which means to sway in Seraiki. Jhumar is usually performed at wedding ceremonies in Southern Punjab.[6] The dance is also performed in circle, to the tune of emotional songs.[6]

Jhoomar is the traditional Saraiki folk dance that originated from Multan and Balochistan.[7][8]
