Speedy deletion of Alexandra Gilbert

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Alexandra Gilbert, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

hoax, no "Alexandra Gilbert" in IMDB

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mr. Vernon (talk) 19:35, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why your article was deleted

[edit]

Hi. I'm sorry your article had to be deleted, but the subject of a Wikipedia article has to be of enough general interest for an article in an encyclopedia. The Wikipedia term for that is notability and what it means is described in Notability and in more detail in Notability (people). Also, even if you are notable, writing about yourself is strongly discouraged, because it's not easy to do it from the neutral point of view that all Wikipedia articles must have. Look at the Five Pillars of Wikipedia and the other links in the Welcome paragraph above to learn more about it and about how you can make useful contributions.
