The 2017 Campeonato Carioca de Futebol will be the 114th edition of the main division of football in Rio de Janeiro. The contest is organized by FERJ. The top four teams will compete in 2018 Copa do Brasil.

There is great news and it will have a preliminary stage, where you will have the participation of the last four placed in the previous edition over the two from the Série B, in which the two top scorers are classified for the second phase plus the four that compete for the decline.[1]
