Barreiro (Portuguese pronunciation: [bɐˈʁɐjɾu]) is a municipality in Setúbal District in Portugal with a total area of 32.0 km2 (12 sq mi) and a total population of 79,047 inhabitants. It contains the town of Barreiro.

The present Mayor is Carlos Humberto Carvalho, elected by the Unitarian Democratic Coalition. The municipal holiday is June 28.
