Barry Westhead (born 13 May 1977, Wigan, Greater Manchester, England) is a musician, pianist of the British group Starsailor.
Westhead was working as pianist in a church before meeting the other members of Starsailor, James Stelfox, Ben Byrne and James Walsh in March 2000. He was the last member to join the band, then named Waterface. The band had tried a number of guitarists before asking Westhead to join them as keyboardist. His arrival has been heralded as the most significant event in the band's formation.
Westhead has the distinction of having an advanced qualification in piano (level above grade 8)[1]
Westhead and his partner Kelly have two children, a boy, Joseph, born on April 12, 2007.[2] and a girl called Scarlett, born on June, 2010 [3]
