Gmirkin's work is universally ignored in studies on the formation of the Torah. For instance, in the 2016 volume The Formation of the Pentateuch, which features all the big Pentateuchal scholars in the field and runs a whopping 1200 pages, Gmirkin's work isn't even cited once. undo
