comment[edit]

I have chosen the name 'Scottish Malt Whisky' for this category because that's how Jim Murray classifies whiskies in his Whisky Bible. - Galwaygirl 20:55, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

See Talk:Lagavulin Single Malt for a discussion about the naming of articles in this category. CarolGray 09:09, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

naming[edit]

I understand that the individual articles should probably be Proper Case, but why is the category "Scottish Malt Whisky" rather than "Scottish malt whisky/whiskies"? -- nae'blis (talk) 19:37, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rename[edit]

Shouldn't this be "Malt Scotch whisky", being that is the legally defined name? The term "Scottish" is never used to refer to whisky, in any variety of English. It sounds like we have no idea what we're talking about to persist in this error. oknazevad (talk) 11:09, 16 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
