[edit] Claremont Braineaters

You userfied the deleted article "Claremont Braineaters" for me most of a year ago. I've finally gotten around to working on it, and think it should be reinstated. What do you think— start a deletion review? Recreate the article and alert the users involved in the deletion debate? There's still a thread about this on my talk page. — eitch 14:30, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Eusebia naming query from the Llama

Hi David -- Here's what I wrote last night (and actually, I got a delivery-delay message, so I wonder if the mail ever got to you): In other excitement, having to look up the word Eusebia (Εύσέβεια) has had me on a mad, mad quest to document and disambiguate the word/name/placename in Wikipedia. The Greek concept still needs a lot of work, although I feel more ready to roll out some of the personal names, and have already incorporated the placename into an existing entry. Here's my current quandary (besides just needing mo' better sources on the Hellenic idea): what the heck do I call that entry? I'm pretty sure that "Eusebia" ought to be the disambiguation page. I can't quite figure out what to call the Greek ideal. At first I thought we were in "Eusebia (mythology)" territory, but that seems to be a pretty low priority -- more that there are occasional references to a daimon as a personification of a more important ideal. Any ideas for appropriate parenthetical clarifiers? Do you know if there's a list of clarifiers anywhere? The WP:NAME page didn't really cover that part. The disambiguation text along with several proto-entries are all crammed together in my user space: User:Kenllama/eusebia

Any ideas? Thanks! Kenllama/(talk) 16:29, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A request for your consideration regarding CAT:AOTR

...My guinea pigs and the "A"s through "K"s having felt this message was OK to go forward with (or at least not complained bitterly to me about it :) ), today it's the turn of the "L"s through "O"s! I'm hoping that more of you chaps/chapettes will point to their own criteria instead of mine :)... it's flattering but a bit scary! :) Also, you may want to check back to the table periodically, someone later than you in the alphabet may have come up with a nifty new idea. ++Lar: t/c 00:04, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] My page was deleted

I would like to post a page on Wikipedia of my film review website and it was deleted before I could do much with it. How can I get this page to stick and will you help me? Please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Porkchop Express (talkcontribs)

It appears that Nae'blis is away on a wikibreak, so I'll field this one. If you're referring to Henson Film Critique, it was deleted because it didn't claim to be notable - that is, it didn't make a claim of importance or significance. Please read our notability policy for more information. Having examined the article, I seriously doubt that you will be able to make it "stick" - it appears to be non-notable and further appears that it would be difficult if not impossible to provide sufficient reliable sources for the article. These are the primary concerns to bear in mind when deciding how to proceed. If you have any further questions, I would be glad to answer them on my talk page. --Philosopher Let us reason together. 22:28, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Hello. I was wondering if you'd be able to restore the file name File:Cbsdt.jpg, if i was able to place the appropriate fair use and copyright tags on it. RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 13:03, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Note to self

User talk:68.251.46.240 (edit history :  : AFD :  : VFD) - Wikipedia:OLDIP no longer holds consensus, this editor at some point added advertising to the wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=R%C3%B6mer&oldid=162321583) that took years to undo.

[edit] Hello Nae'blis

Dear Nae'blis,

I'm reaching out to researchers and writers interested in the emerging, or re-emerging, movements inspired by ancient culture in the areas of religion/theology/mythology/culture...I spare-headed an artistic collaboration between a music professor, rock-vocalist and poet to create a modern multi-media experience of the cathardic journey inspired by ancient pagan poetic traditions; A romance to nature seen as a beautiful, divine and omnipotent woman.

It has singularly been my goal to respect tradition while allowing a free and spontaneous interpretation...I believe the utility of a quasi-rebirth of some aspects of the ancient religious tendancies would be achieved in an increase of tolerance, sympathy, and freedom of expression in our modern discoures on religion...so much needed. Until we have a cultural revolution tantamount to the politcal revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries [aiding the rebirth of a government of, by and for the people] in the area of religion, I will not rest. Until the rebirth of religions which are of, by and for the people, as fluid as art, as deep as mythology and theology and as powerful as culture, I do not believe we will be truly free no matter what economic or political conditions surround us. Democracy without a democratic cultural is as frustrating as it is ineffectual.

If you have a moment could you peruse the poetry project site. http://www.misbeliever.net As you are a worker in these areas, having ebhanced the Wikipedia, the world's greatest encyclopedia, I would be very honored with any remarks or critisms you could offer either me or my collaborators.

thanks much,

sincerely

[edit] Invitation to events: bot, template, and Gadget makers wanted

I thought you might want to know about some upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, extending functionality with JavaScript, the future of ResourceLoader and Gadgets, the new Lua templating system, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.

Check out the Chennai event in March, the Berlin hackathon in June, the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC, or any other of our events.

Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page, here or at mediawiki.org. Sumanah (talk) 14:48, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
