Camryn Newton-Smith (born 27 April 2000) is an Australian Heptathlete. She won gold at the 2024 Australian Championships[1] and is ranked 5th on the Australian All time Women's Heptathlon Rankings[2].
Early years[edit]
As a young girl Newton-Smith was a member of Jimboomba Little Athletics centre from 5 years of age. During her time at the centre she broke multiple club records for High jump, Javelin, Hurdles and long jump, as well as setting a Queensland Little athletics state record for the 90m hurdles[3]. It was these performances across multiple events that caused her to take up the Heptathlon.
