Mutahar "Muta" Anas (born May 1, 1994), also known as SomeOrdinaryGamers is a Canadian YouTuber, commentator, and streamer known for his Let's Play and investigation videos on YouTube personalities and cryptocurrency.[1] He has also been a host of SomeOrdinaryPodcast since 2021.

Career[edit]

YouTube[edit]

On January 23, 2020, Anas posted a video investigating YouTuber JayStation after he uploaded a video purporting the death of his girlfriend.[2][3] Later in April, Anas uploaded a video about how Valorant's anti-cheat engine could be a security or privacy risk to consumers.[4]

In June 2021, Anas investigated the "Save the Kids" cryptocurrency promoted by members of FaZe Clan, with crypto journalist and YouTuber Coffeezilla.[5][6]

Anas dropped his sponsorship with Established Titles in December 2022.[7]

In November 2023, Anas uploaded a video alongside YouTuber Karl Jobst investigating the Open Hand Foundation, led by gaming YouTuber Jirard "The Completionist" Khalil and founded by his family. The YouTubers discovered through public tax filings that the organization had withheld $655,520 accumulated in donations since 2014, despite claims from Khalil that the organization had given donations to various organizations for dementia research.[8][9]
