Fasken Martineau is an international business law firm with more than 650 lawyers and offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, Québec City, London, Paris and Johannesburg. The Firm has present in the Middle East in Riyadh in affiliation with Osool Law Firm. As a multi-service law firm, Fasken Martineau provides in business law to a broad range of clients, including numerous corporations, government agencies, regulatory and non-profit bodies, and individuals.

Fasken Martineau was formally known as Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP. This name combines elements of predecessor firms - Fasken Campbell Godfrey, Martineau Walker, and Russell & DuMoulin. Fasken Campbell Godfrey in Toronto was itself the result of the 1989 merger of two long standing Toronto firms - Fasken & Calvin which began as Beatty and Chadwick in 1863 and Campbell Godfrey & Lewtas which began as Howland & Arnoldi in the 1880s. Martineau Walker in Montreal dates from 1907 and Russell & DuMoulin in Vancouver dates from 1882.
In late 1999 Toronto-based Fasken Campbell Godfrey and Quebec-based Martineau Walker (Montreal and Quebec City) joined to form Fasken Martineau. Shortly thereafter, in February 2000, Vancouver-based Russell & DuMoulin joined to create Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP.
In May 2003 Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP opened a "greenfield" office in Calgary, Alberta.
In February 2007 Fasken Martineau Dumoulin LLP merged with London-based Stringer Saul LLP to create the first full-service integrated Canadian-UK law firm. It the world’s first ever full service UK-Canadian law partnership with lawyers practicing both English and Canadian law. In September 2009, six senior lawyers joined the firm’s London office.
In April 2007 Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP merged with Ottawa-based Johnston & Buchan LLP. In September 2009, a team of three senior lawyers joined Fasken Martineau’s Ottawa office, bringing combined expertise in corporate finance, and in the technology, mining and transportation sectors.
On September 22, 2009, Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP opened an office in Paris through a merger with Paris-based Gravel, Leclerc & Partners, including seven lawyers. A team of four prominent lawyers from Dewey & LeBoeuf in Paris also joined the firm’s new office.
