Gholamhossein Mosahab (Persian: غلامحسین مصاحب‎), also written Mosaheb, (1910 – October 13, 1979)

Gholam-Hossein Mosahab was an Iranian mathematician who is said to be the father of the modern mathematics in Iran.[citation needed] He is also famous in non-mathematical society as the author of The Persian Encyclopedia, a Persian encyclopedia published in Iran. He also wrote the first book in mathematical analysis in Persian. He is the founder of the Institute of Mathematical Research (IMR) which is still known as one of the most important Iranian mathematical centers. The Institute of Mathematical Research started its work in October 1965 under the direction of Mosahab, as a semi-independent institute affiliated to Tarbiat Moaalem University.[1]
