Gushikawa, Okinawa

Gushikawa (具志川市, Gushikawa-shi, Okinawan: Gushichan) was a city located in Okinawa, Japan.

On April 1, 2005 Gushikawa was merged with the towns of Katsuren and Yonashiro, both from Nakagami District, and the old city of Ishikawa, to form the new city of Uruma.

As of 2003, the city had an estimated population of 62,814 and a total area of 31.99 km², with a density of 1,963.55 persons per km².
