Kumano City (熊野市 Kumano-shi) is a city located in Mie, Japan.
The city was founded on November 3, 1954. On November 1, 2005 the town of Kiwa, from Minamimuro District, was merged into Kumano.
As of the Kiwa merger but with 2008 population estimates, the city has an estimated population of 20,125 and a density of 53.9 persons per km². The total area is 373.63 km².
