Laives (Italian: Laives; German: Leifers) is a town and a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 45 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 8 km south of the city of Bolzano.

According to the 2001 census, 70.42% of the population speak Italian, 29.07% German and 0.51% Ladin as first language.[3]
