Langley is an unincorporated community in the census-designated place of McLean in Fairfax County, Virginia, United States.
The community was essentially absorbed into McLean many years ago, although there is still a Langley High School.[1] In addition to being a bedroom community for Washington, D.C., the area is the site of the headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the headquarters of the Federal Highway Administration, and the Claude Moore Colonial Farm of the National Park Service. 'Langley' is often used as a metonym for the CIA.

The animated TV show, American Dad!, created by Seth MacFarlane, is set in Langley Falls, Virginia. Langley Falls is the fictional community where the Smith Family reside. Langley Falls is in Virginia in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The town name is a composite of Langley and Great Falls, two unincorporated communities located in Fairfax County.
The band, Box Car Racer, with Blink-182's guitarist Tom DeLonge and drummer Travis Barker in their song "Watch the World", they say, "I saw Virginia, get rid of Langley, and its secrets too."
In Immortal Technique's song "Payback" he says, "Langley Virginia, where my connect for cocaine is".
Langley is also mentioned as CIA headquarters in movies such as "Mission Impossible" and "The Bourne Identity" trilogy.
