The Australian Minister for Small Business is Senator Mark Arbib, appointed on 14 December 2011. The Minister administers his portfolio through the Department of Industry, Innovation, Science, Research and Tertiary Education. Minister Arbib is also currently Minister for Sport and Assistant Treasurer, portfolios which he administers through the Department of Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government and the Department of the Treasury.
