Monipur High School & College is a secondary school located in Dhaka City, Bangladesh. The school is also known as Monipur Uccha Biddalay Ebong College (MUBC). In 2007, 2008 and 2009, the school ranked 3rd and in 2010 and 2011 the school ranked 6th and 7th in Secondary School Certificate examination under the Dhaka Education Board.[1] Some 25,500 students, boys and girls, are currently studying at Monipur High School & College.


The school secured the 2nd position in [2] in terms of securing highest number of first divisions in the primary terminal examinations across the country. A total of 1,516 students achieved first division from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College while 1,126 from Monipur High School & College and 962 from Ideal School and College.

652 students scored A+ (or GPA 5.0) in 2008 and 556 students achieved the same in 2009, placing the school in the top three in Bangladesh's GPA 5 based schools ranking.

Students

Follwing demands to enrol more students the school authorities opened two more branches in Dhaka city while the main campus at Monipur continues.

The school has achieved 2nd place in the evaluation examination of class Eight held under the Department of Secondary and Higher Educationr.[3]

Monipur High School opened its college section in 2008. The section, with about 1000 students, is situated at the Ibrahimpur branch of the school.

556 students from Monipur High School & College scored GPA 5 in 2009. Viqarunnisa topped the list of highest GPA-5 achievers with 887 students achieving the feat followed by Ideal School and College with 745 students. Motijheel Model High School from Dhaka with 450 students and Collegiate School from Chittagong with 363 GPA-5 students secured 4th and 5th positions respectively.
