Shelby Township is one of fourteen townships in Shelby County, Indiana. As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,892 and it contained 771 housing units.[3]

Shelby Township was organized in 1882.[4] This township was named for the county in which it is located.[5]

Geography

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 28.98 square miles (75.1 km2), all land.[3]
