Turning Point is a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event, produced by the American professional wrestling promotion Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). The event was created in 2004 and was originally held annually in December. TNA changed the date of the 2008 event to be held in November. The event has been held as an annual PPV event for TNA. The 2004 event was the second TNA PPV to be produced annually. Since its inception in 2004, the event has been held exclusively in Orlando, Florida. Every event has been held in an indoor arena, with all of the events taking place in the TNA Impact! Zone. Each event features talent from TNA competing in various professional wrestling match types. Since the inaugural event, five championship matches have taken place in the main event.

History

Turning Point is a PPV event consisting of a main event and undercard that feature championship matches and other various matches. The first Turning Point was held in 2004, and was the second PPV held by TNA established as an annual PPV. It took place on December 5, 2004 and aired live on PPV.^[1] Since then, TNA has held Turning Point annually, producing the event from 2004-2007 in December. Without explanation, however, in 2008 TNA chose to hold the event in November and produce Final Resolution in December. Each Turning Point event has been held in an indoor arena, with all events taking place in the United States in Orlando, Florida. All of the events have been held in the TNA Impact! Zone.

Turning Point (2005) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), which took place on December 11, 2005 at the TNA Impact! Zone in Orlando, Florida. It was the second event under the Turning Point chronology. Nine professional wrestling matches were featured on the event's card.

Pre-Show match: Lance Hoyt and The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) defeated Buck Quartermain, Jon Bolen and Joe Doering (07:11)
- Hoyt pinned Bolen after a Blackout.
- Hoyt replaced Jeff Hardy, who no-showed.
Sabu defeated Abyss (with James Mitchell) in a Barbed Wire Massacre (10:58)
- Sabu pinned Abyss after an Arabian Facebuster with Abyss sandwiched between two barbed wire boards.
Austin Aries and Matt Bentley (with Traci) defeated Alex Shelley and Roderick Strong (08:03)
- Bentley pinned Strong after a Superkick.
Raven defeated Chris K (05:49)
- Raven pinned K after a Raven Effect DDT.
Team Canada (Petey Williams, Eric Young, Bobby Roode and A-1) (with Coach D'Amore) defeated The 4Live Kru (B.G. James, Konnan, Ron Killings and Kip James) (07:16)
- Roode pinned Kip after Konnan hit Kip with a steel chair.

- After the match, Johnny Damon handed Pierzynski a home plate to use as a weapon against Diamond.

Christian Cage defeated Monty Brown (12:38)
- Cage pinned Brown after an Unprettier to become the number one contender to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon) defeated America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm) in a Tables match (10:20)
- Team 3D eliminated Storm with a Death Sentence and Harris with a 3D.
Samoa Joe defeated A.J. Styles (c) to win the TNA X Division Championship (18:54)
- Joe made Styles pass out to the Coquina Clutch.
- After the match, Joe continued to attack Styles until Christopher Daniels came out to make the save.
Jeff Jarrett (c) defeated Rhino to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship (17:29)
- Jarrett pinned Rhino after a Stroke onto several chairs.

Zone in Orlando, Florida. It was the third event under the Turning Point chronology. Seven professional wrestling matches were featured on the event's card.

Pre-Show match: Lance Hoyt and Ron Killings defeated Serotonin (Maverick Matt, Kazarian and Havok) (with Raven) (04:37)
- Killings pinned Kazarian after an Axe Kick.
Paparazzi Championship Series - Elimination match: Senshi defeated Alex Shelley, Sonjay Dutt, Austin Starr and Jay Lethal (14:38)
- Dutt forced Shelley to submit with a camel clutch (7:52)
- Senshi pinned Lethal after a Warrior's Way (08:50)
- Starr pinned Dutt after a 450° splash (13:12)
- Senshi pinned Starr with a roll-up (14:38)
- As the winner of the match, Senshi received five points towards the Series. Starr received four points, Dutt three points, Lethal two points, and Shelley one point.
Eric Young defeated Ms. Brooks (with Robert Roode) in a Bikini contest after the fans of Orlando voting him as the winner.
- After the contest, Robert Roode sent Eric Young into the ropes for an attack but Eric Young ducked and bailed from the ring heading to the back.
