Question about the Clear and Alex Rivers headline[edit]

"However, Alex pushed Clear out of the way, changing the order and was destined to later die from a flesh-eating virus."

What the hell is it talking about when it says "flesh eating virus"!?!?!? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.87.69.48 (talk) 01:49, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia change:[edit]

If anyone asks, that deserves to be on the deaths page. 08:53, 25 September 2006 (UTC) Okay, who put that back?

Why was the Plot Concerns section moved?[edit]

As someone else asked above, why was it moved? The only thing the person said who removed it was "Bye, original research". What's that supposed to mean? Plot Concerns should be included... JackOfHearts 02:45, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Everything needs to be fully sourced. Information can be added if you can supply reliable sources. Without those sources, then it is original research. The JPStalk to me 00:36, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Survivor?[edit]

Kimberly doesn't survive. It shows a newspaper report in the 3rd film which said she was pulled into a wood cutter! Bubble bunny

It Dosent say If They Really Died. TaylorLTD 21:05, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It says this in the DVD version's "Choose your Fate" extra, where you get to make some decisions for the main characters, and some of these decisions cause plot holes and continuity errors, so I really don't know if that counts. I noticed, though, that this headline appeared in the version that aired on TV. Everything else from the choose your fate thing was left out.

Oh, and by the way, being sucked into a wood chipper pretty much guarantees death.

Drug Content?[edit]

"In the U.S., the film was rated R for strong violence/gruesome accidents, language, drug content, and some nudity..." The words "drug content" where linked to cocaine, which I changed to Recreational drug use. -Saint Ryan 05:59, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

links to 180[edit]

eugene's connection still doesn't make sense to me. granted what's been written here is basically all that's said in the movie, but the other people in that scene were alive because the "catch-up" death of the characters in the first film saved them. (ie, if everyone had died on the plane, then the cast in the second film would have already died.) how does the teacher's death in the first movie prevent him from being stabbed? can someone clear this up for me and for the page? rhetoric 08:29, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A student had brought a knife to school and would have killed his teacher regardless of who it was, so it would have been Eugene if he was still there. But he was transfered to the other teacher's school to replace her - had she not died he would still be at his orginal school, and would have been stabbed by that student. One of Kim's clues are wrong[edit]

where it says "Kim's dad phones and warns her to stop the car because of fluid leakage..." when actually her Check Engine light flashes and tells her friends that something is wrong with the car. The front passenger (forgot her name) tells Kim that everything is going to be fine. That's what I saw on the DVD. Mmark089 06:32, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kim's dad does phone and warn her, then somewhere before or after that she noticed the check engine light. That's what I saw on the DVD. Thatmusic

|== Questionable writing ==

As someone who has not yet watched this movie, I found the section on Evan Lewis exceedingly hard to interpret. It seems as if the summary is trying to tell the events backwards, which can be quite perplexing to someone who has not watched the actual scene. In addition, I find the following sentence very confusing:

I thought he was impaled through the eye? I would make a friendly recommendation that someone rewrites this section and makes it a bit more clear. ChibiKareshi 11:20, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To comment on Evan's death, my friend tells me there is a part of that scene involving fridge magnets spelling: H E Y E as in "Hey, Evan". The important part is that the letter H falls off leaving E Y E. I should also say that I have interpreted the falling H as a ladder. Point being: "Hey. Evan. Ladder. Fall. Eye", which is exactly what happens to him. I have only seen that film once and don't remember it very well, could someone verify that before adding it? Thanks. Thatmusic

Evan did stepped a doll in the head, which had no right eye, regarding to his death. FDJoshua22

I removed the comment about Tim's death being the "goriest" as it is subjective. I personally thought that Rory's slicin' and dicin' was the nastiest, but again, that's my opinion. Jamyskis Whisper, Contribs Germany 16:09, 24 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Devon Sawa and avoided deaths[edit]

This is getting ridiculous. I just reverted an edit with this edit summary: "Ali Larter was not main cast. and Devon Sawa is appearance. but only uncredited." and they went on to move Ali Larter down (which doesn't make sense because the list is in no particular order) and insert Devon Sawa.

Ali Larter was main cast. She was a main character. She gets included.

Devon Sawa was not main cast. He was not a main character. He didn't even have an acting cameo. He does not get included.

Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. There has to be a sound reason to include him in the main cast, otherwise it appears you're just adding him in for no other reason than to add him in and increase the amount of information that belongs on a fansite/wikia, rather than here.

The same goes for avoided deaths. This is explained absolutely no where in the article and makes absolutely no sense just tacked onto the end of a character description. This article is not read by fans only. In fact, the majority of people coming here are coming here for production and reception information, which this article is pretty much devoid of. We need to work on those extremely important issues far before we start trying to add trivial information that is probably better suited for a wikia/fansite.

If there are some other reasons that I'm just not getting, please, for the love of sanity, let me know. Thanks. --132 13:01, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Change of the plot & format[edit]

Is it okay if I changed the plot? I shorten it for it was too long for Wikipedia's standards. I also changed the article's format. I found out that all FD films are messy, and I begun working in The Final Destination. TFD's article page was considered well-arranged, so I based my change in FD2 with my work in TFD. -- FDJoshua22 (talk) 21:16, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The score soundtracks are bootlegs[edit]

The article lists soundtrack albums with the score by Shirley Walker, but they haven't been released officially. Should we take them out entirely or just mention that they are bootlegs? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.234.145.90 (talk) 22:08, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Warring on Infobox - Starring field[edit]

I have pointed the IP to the discussion and they have continued making this change. I have given them an edit-warring advisory and will report them if they continue to make this change without additional discussion. Additional opinions are welcome. changing the dates[edit]

can everyone please stop changing the dates on Final Destination and Final Destination 2. People keep writing May 13th, this is wrong. Flight 180 happened September 25th 1999 and the route 23 car crash happened September 25th 2000Lightningalex1 (talk) 11:47, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm rather hard pressed for time right now, so I'll just leave one comment which was a very obvious problem: in the Accolades section, there is a huge number of references lined up for the "Best Action Sequence" bit. That makes it an obvious WP:QUOTEFARM. It should be rectified. I'll give a more detailed review later on. ~*~AnkitBhatt~*~ 06:10, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How about now? Do I really need to delete most of the references? FDJoshua22 (talk) 10:47, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This is perfect. Good job. ~*~AnkitBhatt~*~ 12:07, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What's next? I'm free. FDJoshua22 (talk) 15:06, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
First set of comments
  • "Since the original film's crew were unavailable," "Crew" is a singular word, hence it should be "was", not "were".
  • "but is stalked by Death afterwards by claiming back their lives which should have been lost in the highway." "By" seems to be an incorrect connector used here. Re-wording?
  • If any content in the lead is repeated (and cited) in the main body, then adding references in the lead is not necessary.
  • When you talk about box office, 1) You should ideally place the figures after the review bits in the lead, and before the Awards. 2) Stating the opening weekend is not very useful; it would be much better if you talked about American and overseas figures.
  • In addition, you could expand the last two paragraphs of the lead a bit.
  • "Aghast, she stalls her car and blocks ... from entering the highway." "blocks" would be better replaced by "prevents".
  • "Desperate of help" Of? It should be "for".
  • You should mention that Clear Rivers is the only remaining survivor of the Flight 180 incident.
  • "Though she initially turns down Kimberly and invites her for isolation," Please re-word, its grammatically incorrect. I'd suggest "Though Rivers initially refuses to help and invites Kimberly to share her isolation,"
  • Wikilink mortician.
  • "Bludworth claims the equilibrium of Death and "new life"" Uh, claims? It should be "explains". I'm now beginning to think that this article is in need of a copy-edit.
  • "implying their salvation upon Isabella's unborn son." I guess you mean "implying their salvation upon the birth of Isabella's unborn son."
  • "Isabella is taken into custody whereas the other survivors reunite for safety." First, "whereas" would be better replaced by "while". Second, you say "reunite" but have never talked about any unification before. Hence, "unite" and not "reunite".
  • "Overcomed by grief" Huh? Overcomed? Its "overcome". Now I am really starting to worry about the copy-editing.
  • "Eugene attempts suicide yet fails," "Yet" is better replaced by "but".
  • "En route, they discover that their existence lied on the fates of Flight 180's survivors." Lied? My my, what grammar. It should be "lay".
  • "As Isabella holds labor," What? What in the name of God is holding labor? It should be "As Isabella goes into labor". This is not good.
  • "plummeting them onto a farm." Oh God. Pray tell me how one can "plummet" into a farm? It should be "crashed".
  • "Kimberly has another vision of a van submergence" Van submergence is incorrect, it should be "submerging van".
  • "denoting their trial is still at large." Missing "that".
  • "subsequently detonating his room from oxygen combustion." You make it sound like she did it on purpose, which she didn't (I have seen the film). Re-wording please.
  • "Afterwards, Thomas and Kimberly have picnic" Missing "a".
  • "Learning Brian's deterrence from Death before" Missing "of".
  • "Smithereens" is not encyclopedic, please replace.

As of now, that's it, though the state of the Plot section is not giving me good vibes about the rest of the article. ~*~AnkitBhatt~*~ 17:04, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I followed what you stated and I do apologize for the wrong grammar since I'm not proficient in English and I'm still a teenager. Nonetheless, any more corrections? FDJoshua22 (talk) 06:21, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This is just the first set. There may be lots more. ~*~AnkitBhatt~*~ 11:56, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I deeply apologize for the long break. Here's more :-

  • "Learning Brian's deterrence from Death before" Missing "of".
  • "Unfortunately, Wong and Morgan weren't available for production since they already signed on their respective projects" Missing "had".
  • "but I watched [Final Destination]" Italicize Final Destination.
  • "was casted as Thomas Burke" Was cast.
  • "Perry was astonished of how Carson" – "Perry was astonished by how Carson".
  • The third paragraph of the Casting section needs to be split into two.
  • "Likewise the first film, the film was shot in" Change the second "the film" to Final Destination 2.
  • "Digital Dimension took charge over the visual effects" Over -> of.
  • "however CG blood was also shown" However, -> but.
  • "Alike its predecessor, no official album" Alike -> like.
  • "two music videos embed in its subsequent home release." Embed -> embedded.
  • You should remove the photo from the soundtrack infobox, its too similar to the film poster.
  • "earning $16,017,141 on its opening weekend" On -> in. Same for "Final Destination 2 placed at #2 in the United States box office on its opening weekend", "The film dropped to #5 on the next weekend", "descended to #7 on its third weekend ", "The film was removed from the top-ten list on its fourth weekend", "in 42 theaters on its sixteenth weekend".
  • "The film was removed from the top-ten list" How can you remove a film from the Top-10 Box Office list? It should be "the film dropped out of the top-ten list".
  • "The previous film received $53,302,314 domestically throughout its 22-week run, a $64 million increase than its sequel's gross" I beg your pardon? How can the first film have a 64 million dollar increase over the sequel? You must have messed up the numbers.
  • "Claudia Puig of USA Today carped how" Firstly, missing "on". Second, "carped" is rather poor choice, please re-word.
  • "there is an audience for a movie in which innocent people suffer hideous accidental deaths is troubling enough" There should be a "that" in the beginning.
  • "Carson, Cherry, Cook, Landes, Larter, and Todd were prominent amid the analysis" amid -> amidst.
  • You have written a paragraph about the highway scene in the Critical reception section, but it would be much better suited to the accolades section as a merge with the last paragraph.

Otherwise, this article seems fine. A final reference overview will be needed, hopefully today. ~*~AnkitBhatt~*~ 09:20, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I apologize for my late compliance. I'll respond right away for your subsequent reviews. --FDJoshua22 (talk) 08:44, 14 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ankitbhatt seems to have disappeared, but since those were the final comments and they were resolved, I'll pass the article. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 16:02, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
