Opening heading[edit]

Obviously, there is an attempt to picture Alian de Benoist in propagandistic terms and omit many disturbing facts in his biography and ideology. I reverted therefore to the version D6 replaced by the "official" polished biography of the chief ideologist the French New Right. Should the respect for the person involve pious lies and omission of controversial facts? Or should for esample Jean Marie Le Pen be described as a "moderate" politician?

The current article isn't entirely neutral, either. It's clearly biased against him.

I agree. For example, The article indirectly portrays Fascism as something negative. Aor 22:30, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Study of Intelligence and the IQ Controversy[edit]

Can anyone confirm if Alain de Benoist is the author of The Study of Intelligence and the IQ Controversy: A Bibliographical Introduction (a paperback published by the Institute for the Study of Man in 1998; ISBN 0941694615)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Morning star (talkcontribs)

It certainly appears so. Why do you have doubts about that? — EliasAlucard (Discussion · contribs) 04:01, 4 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

broad anthologies[edit]

I have removed the broad anthologies because they only concern themselves marginally (1 or 2 pages out of 100+) with Alain de Benoist or GRECE or Nouvelle Droite. Clearly this cannot be called further reading then. Intangible 05:16, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is an absurd claim. Please go to Talk:Front National (France) where we can have a broader discussion with other editors about your numerous deletions of criticisms on pages concerning the European New Right.--Cberlet 13:55, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The FN is not part of the (European) New Right. Intangible 14:15, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In order to illustrate De Benoist's ideas, I suggest using direct quotes from his works, instead of references to newspapers. Imagine an article about Plato that uses Turkish newspapers as its main source. Stammer 15:31, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

'Less radical'[edit]

Whether Heidegger is less radical than Nietzsche is debatable. The former was certainly more implicated in the intellectual justification of Nazism than the latter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.125.214.182 (talk) 16:48, 1 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

False quotation attributed to De Benoist - please correct[edit]

This quotation was incorrectly translated by the Independent, perhaps deliberately in order to increase it's effect. ..De Benoist has made pointed criticism of the United States: "Better to wear the helmet of a Red Army soldier," he wrote in 1982, "than to live on a diet of hamburgers in Brooklyn."[9]

The correct quotation is: "To have to wear someday the cap of the Red Army would be an awful perspective [in French: "une perspective affreuse"]. This is not a reason to have the desire to spend the rest of our life living on a diet of hamburgers in Broolyn's surroundings." Here is the reference: Alain de Benoist, Orientations pour des années décisives, Paris: Labyrinthe, 1982, p. 76)

This is from De Benoist himself at : http://waisworld.org/go.jsp?id=02a&o=71767 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.32.30.155 (talk) 07:59, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I added it. I haven't seen the French, though. Can correctness be verified by someone? GangofOne (talk) 02:39, 10 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
