Untitled[edit]

I've whipped this article together from excerpts of other Wikipedia articles. It now needs fact-checking and expansion. -- The Anome (talk) 15:02, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed "Romans also sometimes used to eat their own poo if they were out of food when they were in military training."

I'm trying to expand on the actual clothing the Roman soldiers wore. I've managed to find a few possible sources on the clothing but have yet to get the books in. What I have found as of right now are some sources on the relative peace many of the Roman soldiers actually enjoyed. Logically one would assume they would therefore spend a good portion of their careers not in full armor. Emphasis when it comes to the Roman army has always been on the military ability and while they had an amazing system most of their time was spent not on the battlefield, but building and keeping the peace. - Veradys (talk) 21:15, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
