Requested move[edit]

This article has been renamed from Anita Lonsborough to Anita Lonsbrough as the result of a move request.

The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was - moved as most sources agree, as does the GRO Index. Keith D (talk) 23:10, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Surname spelling[edit]

Can we check to be certain that her surname is spelled Lonsborough not Lonsbrough. Ta, --mervyn 07:53, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Her name is being spelt Lonsborough by the Radio Times (BBC listings magazine). - http://www.radiotimes.com/content/features/galleries/sports-personality/03/ [Accessed 8/12/07]

Looking in more detail. it seems clear that the correct spelling is Lonsbrough so a move is needed - see [1], [2], [3]. --mervyn (talk) 08:47, 29 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And NYT confirms: NYT November 25, 1962: "DAWN FRASER SETS 2 RECORDS IN FINAL; Anita Lonsbrough Smashes Mark for Breast-Stroke-- Kidd Wins, Jerome Bows Parties, Beer and Records Kenyan Wins 100 in 0:09.5 More Swim Records Fall" --mervyn (talk) 15:47, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

Rewrite[edit]

I have flagged this article suggesting a rewrite is required - it is unclear when the events described took place, as the article is currently very fragmented, and describes 1960, then 1964, then 1958 (I think). It would benefit from a revision by an expert in swimming history.

Now fixed into Chronological order etc.. --mervyn (talk) 11:20, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
