Several of the sentences in this article have confusing syntax. For example: Later he became a member of the Supreme War Council of Spain, replacing the governor Miguel de Uztaraiz and lieutenant general. OK, did O'Neill become a member of the council, thereby replacing both the governor and a lieutenant general? Or did he become a member of the council and a lieutenant general, replacing the governor on the council? (And what was this Uztaraiz governor of in the first place?
