Untitled[edit]

Maybe a good idea as the character was both the Scarlet Spider and Spider-Man and is probably better known as Reilly. Doesnt really matter though as Ben Reilly is a redirect here anyway.Hueysheridan 13:17, 26 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The article was AT Ben Reilly, and it was moved (and the redirect edited to stop easy moving back) last week. I'm trying to get it moved back.

Reilly starring in Web and Spider-Man?[edit]

Didnt the Scarlet Spider basically take over the Spider-Man and Web of Spider-Man titles for a few months immediately after he debuted? I seem to remember that he did.

If anyone knows for sure maybe they could amend the "Scarlet Spider Titles" section? Hueysheridan

Separating "Scarlet Spider" and "Ben Reilly"[edit]

It seems to me that there should be two separate articles, since there have been three separate Scarlet Spiders. This would also make this comics-related article more consistent with Robin/Dick Grayson or Batgirl/Barbara Gordon. I recognize that this page used to be "Scarlet Spider" and that there's already been an issue with moving it, but splitting it seems to be a different issue--even Nightwing has a page separate from Dick Grayson, despite the fact that he is by far the most significant "Nightwing." Ben Reilly in Civil War[edit]

It was announced on one of the writers' blogs that Ben Reilly would be making a return, which sparked up a lot of conversation on forums, only for it to be just Peter taking up his clone brother's name as a disguise as well as the aid of a image device given to him by Beast in Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #14. It should be added, but not yet because the issue just came out. We should wait a couple weeks so no one is spoiled and then I think it should get a mention that Pete is masquarading as Reilly.

Ben Reilly as the Non-Clone?[edit]

Who rewrote the Ben Reilly section on the Scarlet Spider page (the talk section links to here) to claim that Reilly was the original, and Parker is the clone? The changed section claims that most people are mistaken in believing Reilly to be the clone. But Reilly's body disintegrated after his death, proving once and for all that he was the clone and Parker was the original. Junior612 23:21, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Four Scarlet Spiders[edit]

Technically speaking, there was four Scarlet Spiders. During a time when Peter Parker was arrested for outstanding murders in Utah, Ben Reilly offered to swap identities with him so Peter could go do what he had to do. So, for a short while, Peter was wearing the Scarlet Spider identity while Ben was in jail. Should that be included in? Sera404 13:48, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Scarlet Spider scheduled to return after House of M?[edit]

I reckon reading on a Marvel column, possibly a Joe Friday's at Newsarama, that they had plans to bring the Scarlet Spider with the House of M storyline, but that they ultimately backed away from that idea. I can't seem to find that specific link any more, but some early solicits for Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man, when still scheduled to be written by Mark Waid, said that something would spin directly out of HoM and stick in the Spiderverse, FNSM in that case.

Missing some comics starring Ben as Spider-Man[edit]

The Backlash/Spider-Man mini is missing from the Ben as Spidey list. This series stars Ben wearing the redesigned costume.

the case of the floating pronoun[edit]

He starts a relationship with Jessica Carradine, a student at Centennial University with a personal vendetta against Spider-Man, convinced the hero is a murderer. Ben later discovers her late father was the burglar who killed Ben Parker, who went into foster care after the man's arrest.
