Bias/NPOV[edit]

The "Development" section sounds completely biased and does not adhere to NPOV. Needs to be fixed. Qutorial (talk) 17:31, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Multiplayer?[edit]

A recent change of the page included multiplayer support. Could someone please confirm that?

Thanks! Poli 05:22, 2005 Jun 23 (UTC)

RE: Multiplayer[edit]

No that's not correct. B&W2 will ship without multiplayer support, but may be added later; http://www.lionhead.com/teambw/mailbagw1.html

--SC

are you sure? Peter Molyneux and Ron Millar (lead designers) are always playing multiplayer games against each other. doesn't this mean they have multiplayer working? or does this mean they are working on it and thus are testing it? Frexe 31 Aug 2005
Though it's certainly possible that they have some functional version of multiplayer in the studio that they could have been referring to, multiplayer will definitely not ship with the initial release. (Darric, 05 Sep 2005)

System Specs?[edit]

Where do those stated minimum system requirements come from? They don't seem at all close to what Lionhead have mentioned in the past... (Darric, 05 Sep 2005)

No, its correct http://blackandwhite2.filefront.com/info/systemrequirements. RenagadeX (talk) 16:10, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Accuracy[edit]

"One of this game's most promising features is its interface, which will be almost buttonless"

I'm not sure if this is accurate. I haven't played the game myself, but I've seen it being played and read reviews, and it appears that the buttonless interface of B&W1 has been replaced with a much more traditional interface with lots of buttons to click on. I've played the game before, and yes there is an interface full of buttons. However, they aren't completely necessary to the gameplay. You can play without it, but it just tends to be easier for some to use a GUI. --211.27.187.140 07:35, 7 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

=No, you cannot play the game without buttons. You need them to upgrade. You *must* navigate throughout the menus in order to play.

Though, you can still in fact play said game without buttons, have you checked for hot keys for upgrading/opening the menu, and navigating through the menu without actually requiring clicking? —Preceding unsigned comment added by KoreEdition (talkcontribs) 20:31, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Technically, you could play the game without using the menus, but most of the time the villagers will suggest things at the town centre that aren't immediately suitable. In order to plant their suggested fields for example, you'd want to build a temple to stretch your influence over a fertile patch of land. Eventually you do hit F1 and start some tedious scrolling. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.100.51.85 (talk) 02:40, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox mode?[edit]

The article says that there is a sandbox mode after completing the game, is that true? I beat the game, but it takes you back to land 3 and I didn't get a sandbox mode.

No, it isn't. Deleted —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.197.196.249 (talk) 14:37, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Strikes me that they could have added a sandbox mode if they'd spent less time adding a full physics engine to the credits :p —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.100.51.85 (talk) 02:42, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Characters[edit]

Shouldn't we include a list of characters appearing in B&W2? And just out of curiousity, what's the music that plays during the Nut Oil Brothers missions? - Frostmourne 16 14:06, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to know who does the voices for the main characters (i.e. conscience lol) --91.105.98.163 (talk) 17:29, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure about the rest, but the voices of the consciences are done by the same guy who did them in B&W1, Marc Silk. - Darric (talk) 17:13, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sequel?[edit]

Will there be a sequel for BW 2? if so, when? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.183.127.178 (talk) 10:15, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, all future plans for the series were cancelled about two years ago, when Lionhead was downsized. - Darric (talk) 17:14, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What?! I didn't realise that :( It's like when I was dying for the sequal to DK2 to come out which didn't :(

Cleanup[edit]

This article has quite a lot of negativity, as well as many non-encyclopedic parts. Overall cleanup is necessary.Vrinan (talk) 15:53, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PoV[edit]

There are also problems with point of view, as this article seems to berate Peter's 'deceptive marketing', and criticisms are rampant in the article. Vrinan (talk) 15:55, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bug List?[edit]

I have never seen this on an article about a game on Wikipedia. I think it should be removed due to the fact that it's not encyclopaedic content, if you want to find this type of information you should go to a website that specializes in that type of information. Wikipedia articles on games are about the gameplay, the plot, the development, if there were any expansions, how it was received and information on the developers.
