is this like a spring-loaded gate used on some playgounds that don't have catches but have a rising cylinder over another cylinder post that moves up as it opens but falls and spins shut. I think i've seen them for use with pedestians and push-chairs. and thinking it though a similar auto closer on a toilet cubicle door.
