BSG?

[edit]

I'm not a great writer and thus do not want to make the change myself, but wouldn't it be fair to say that one of his more notable roles is that of Leoben on the reimagined Battlestar Galactica? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.149.233.85 (talk) 00:46, 24 February 2008 (UTC) i dont know why his appearance in the butterfly effect was left out of his filmography .small role i know but still relevant to his career. also im trying to find out if he is related to michael rennie the english actor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.116.138.149 (talk) 05:09, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"He resides alternatively in Vancouver and Los Angeles."

[edit]

Does he pursue an alternative life-style in both Vancouver and Los Angeles, or does he reside alternately in Vancouver and Los Angeles?Jock123 (talk) 12:52, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Harper's Island

[edit]

Dear Harper's Island fans. I do understand that you are excited about this series, but please stop adding refereces to it in random places on this page. Harper's Island IS mentioned in the appropriate places (Career section, TV guest appearances). There is no need to add extra references in the introduction or the TV series section or any other place. There is no need to add episode recaps or charcater descriptions. Canadian actor

[edit]

Not going into legal details of his nationality, there is a consensus that, even if Rennie's English origins are often mentioned - and acknowledged in this article - he's always referred to as a Canadian actor in articles or biographies, he often refers to himself as such in interviews, and he figures in NorthernStars, the Canadian Movie Database, one of many "projects designed to document and celebrate all things Canadian," and in the Canadian Film Encyclopedia. That is enough reference for me that he should be referred to as a Canadian actor. There is also this article mentioning "problems with the fact that Marciano was the only cast member that did not have Canadian citizenship", precising "Callum Keith Rennie, Jan Rubeš and Tony Craig are landed immigrants. Although American born and raised, Beau Starr has spent well over a decade living and working in Canada .../... As well, the "Due South" spin-off has often been referred to as having a 100% Canadian cast", at suite101.com/article.cfm/canadian_television/20399. In my opinion, any diverging assertion should be sustained.--Tsharkey (talk) 00:23, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

@MikeAllen Could you clarify what your objection is to including File:Frank's Cock (1993) 2.png in the article? It's a lossless Full HD screenshot taken from the Vimeo copy; if this is about the blur and grain, those are faithful to the appearance of the original film, and the Frank's Cock article goes in detail explaining how and why the footage was rephotographed. I get that a low-budget low-fidelity film isn't going to capture the subject in detail, but I think it'd be a shame to let the style of an experimental film prevent us from including a good example of one of Rennie's early performances before becoming famous. hinnk (talk) 03:24, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why do we need a non free image when there is already a free (good) image of Callum. You need a good copyright rationale to include a non free image. There's only one sentence about the film in this article, maybe it should be on the Frank's Cock article. Mike Allen 12:58, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, was that still the issue? I figured it was the image itself, glad I asked. Much of the filmmaker's work is available under the {{CC0}} license, so we're able to use this image freely. No fair use involved. hinnk (talk) 17:59, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
