Capitalization?[edit]

Is there a reason why this article is titled "Chartered engineer" and not "Chartered Engineer"? JAJ 17:03, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The organization's website capitalizes it. I checked online newspapers and found that it is sometimes capitalized and sometimes uncapitalized. I think that it should be uncapitalized. Just because it is legally protected in the UK does not mean that it requires capitalization. Other professional terms are protected in other countries, but we do not capitalize them. Also, it looks like "chartered engineer" might be used in India and most of the Indian usages I have come across are uncapitalized. -- Kjkolb 18:20, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Chartered Engineer[edit]

I would like to know what is the equivalent terminology for Chartered Engineer in US or who qualifies as Chartered Engineer in US. Looks like it is familiar in UK, India etc but not in US. Please let me know the details.

I've just reworked this article extensively and would like someone who knows what their talking about to review it so that this Yank hasn't screwed up references to chartered engineers, or blown off some important event or thought. Thank you for your time and attention. MARussellPESE 05:21, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Country-specific pages created[edit]

I see that somebody has embedded Indian CEng stuff in the middle of UK stuff. I've separated the pages out to make things clearer. If you know anything about CEng registration elsewhere, please add it in. Thanks :-)
