Speedy deletion nom[edit]

This is not a likely search term, and at the time I added the speedy it was a redirect. Since there is an editing history that includes an article, I nominated it as an A10 rather than a speedy deletion of a redirect as would be more usual. VQuakr (talk) 07:02, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have created this list to describe the 91 titles Enix released for home computers in Japan. I believe it meets the criteria for an article. Thanks. Jonathan Hardin' (talk) 07:04, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I missed much of the content of the page through the edit warring. I agree that this page does not qualify for an A10 speedy deletion and have removed the request. VQuakr (talk) 07:14, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Can you explain how the scope/content of this article is different than the article List of Enix games? VQuakr (talk) 07:17, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I plan to merge List of Enix Japan exclusive games into List of Enix games as per the merge tags on these articles. As Tavatar said on Talk:List of Enix Japan exclusive games, many entries in these lists could have standalone articles. These early home computer games, however, are not sufficiently notable to have standalone articles. However, they do appear to be notable as a group, as they have a common history (they were all created as part of 3 programming contests that Enix held in Japan). I plan to explain all that in this article with an additional "History" section before the List section, with sources for verifiability. Jonathan Hardin' (talk) 07:22, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As for List of Enix games, it is expected to be converted to a style more like List of Square Enix games. Jonathan Hardin' (talk) 07:24, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It seems to me that unless the list is approaching 100K in length, there is no need to break it apart into three or more lists; of course if the individual games are notable then the list would link to their articles, no worries. It sounds like you folks have a plan though, so carry on and good luck. VQuakr (talk) 07:33, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll see if I can merge this with the main List of Enix games once the two articles are reworked and if their length allows it. Jonathan Hardin' (talk) 07:37, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
