Daughter in Goldeneye[edit]

I do not edit enough on english wp to be familiar with how to give a web citation here, but the statement about the daughter is backed up by f ex http://www.bondstars.com/kategayson/index.htm Goldeneye is however not listed at Kate Gayson's page imdb, where only her relation to Eunice Gayson is stated. But then the role was only "girl-in-a-casino". Birth name[edit]

The birth name Eunice Sargaison was added in this edit in 2007 by an IP. I can find no confirmation before that date. Conversely J.F Clarke has a "real name" of Elizabeth Grayson.(Joseph F. Clarke (1977). Pseudonyms. BCA. p. 70.)

Often with these conflicts both names turn out to be valid, for example it may be she was born Elizabeth Eunice Sargaison, and her married name was Elizabeth Eunice Grayson.

Given the limited information I have the birth name, but created redirects from both.

I found the birth name in her obituary in Classic Images and added it to the text and infobox with that citation. It is also found in Deadlier Than the Male: Femme Fatales in 1960s and 1970s Cinema and several other sources that turned up in a Google books search for "Eunice Sargaison" Eddie Blick (talk) 21:26, 31 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Place of birth[edit]

Her place of birth is reported as Surrey by the NYT and London by the Guardian. I think we should remove the location unless it can be verified. Toddst1 (talk) 22:44, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think there is a contradiction here. Streatham used to be in Surrey, but boundary changes took it out. I am not quite sure when this happened, but it is clumsy to say she was born in Surrey and then moved to Purley in Surrey (as it did in this version. If the boundary changes occurred after she was born then I agree it would be more correct to describe her place of birth as "Streatham, Surry". The only real question here is whether the NY Times is using outdated geography or whether The Guardian is using the modern geography rather than the contempoary geography. Streatham was removed from Surrey (along with Wandsworth) in 1889 when the County of London was formed (see [1]). When the County of London was abolished in 1965 Streatham was transferred to the London Borough of Lambeth. Unless one of the newspapers have made a genuine mistake, it would appear that the New York Times is simply using historic geography. This is the mostly likely explanation IMO. Also, it is worth pointing out that many Brits reject administrative geography and continue to use the Historic counties of England which would place Streatham back in Surrey.
