Health[edit]

Bit weird that you can live to 85 and so much of your article is called Health Problems. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.147.1.115 (talk) 21:41, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is a work in progress. You can help, by adding more material - with sources, please. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 22:13, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Middle East[edit]

RIP Frank - was he only in the Middle east in the 1950s though ? I thought he was present after the King Davids Hotel bombing and that was the 1940s — Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.198.16.102 (talk) 10:54, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mayor of Balbriggan[edit]

He lived in Balbriggan in County Dublin for a number of years, and became mayor - but I don't know when. Any idea?

Circular referencing[edit]

I wouldn't mind betting that the paragraph in the Daily Telegraph report of the funeral that we are using as proof of Carson's Italian descent was the result of a lazy journalist taking her info from Wikipedia. It is most unlikely that a minor paragraph at the end of a non-sensitive piece of celebrity news came in for much editorial scrutiny, or demanded much research on behalf of the journalist. Such circular referencing casts doubt on the concept of newspapers as reliable sources. Kevin McE (talk) 09:06, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Upbringing[edit]

Frank Carson was not from Sailortown, where I was brought up years ago. He was born in the Gt Patrick St/Edward St area, part of the 'Half Bap'. It's further away from Sailortown than 'Little Italy', where his family moved to later on. The Guardian article makes no mention of Gt George's St (in Little Italy); therefore, I've removed it. Newspaper articles regarding Frank need using with caution. I'll see if I can find a more reliable source for his early life, and maybe others can too. But, most assuredly, he never lived in Sailortown Billsmith60 (talk) 18:30, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
