Changes
[edit]Papamichael should not be identified as an "acclaimed" cinematographer because this is a peacock term. In addition, a lot of relevant production information such as financing was removed from the article inappropriately. Just because one does not think it's interesting does not mean it is not relevant to the film as a whole. In addition, the two citations talking about the buzz and the tepid reception are fully acceptable citations -- wins at a non-notable film festival do not override these facts. If the film festival was notable, we could mention the wins after the talk about the buzz and tepid reception. We don't remove them entirely to make the film positive of our own accord, especially when we consider the cinematographer "acclaimed". However, the Fangoria review seems acceptable as an EL, but it should be incorporated into the article if possible. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 13:21, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- Revisiting this, the anonymous editor is trying to add without citation that the film "received an ovation" at the Tribeca Film Festival and is trying to downplay its cited "mediocre reception". The person who wrote "mediocre reception" was not a reviewer as the editor believes, but instead a writer for The Hollywood Reporer who wrote an overall perspective of how the film was received at the festival. There is no citation to support that From Within was "well received by critics" as the anonymous editor claims. I also do not believe that the Solstice Film Festival is a notable enough event to warrant mention of the film's prestige there, but for the sake of compromise, I will include the festival in the article. If this film did perform well at Tribeca and was badly reported, then surely there will be reliable sources that indicate strong performances later on. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 21:42, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- You cannot be the judge of whether or not Solstic Film festival meets some level of objective criteria, you can only make subjective judgements, just as you require in the same sentence that facts need outside citation and confirmation of multiple observers @ Erik. What is this lunacy going on here? Just keep all information in wikipedia do not make personal judgements. Rook2pawn (talk) 12:15, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
Aiden or Aidan
[edit]The entire article seems to alternate between using Aiden and Aidan as a name for the male lead in the movie.
Aidan seems to be the correct spelling though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Xianwei (talk • contribs) 13:36, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
- I changed all instances of "Aiden" to "Aidan". If you've seen the film, would you be able to write a shorter summary? We should aim for between 400 and 700 words, and the current summary is nearly 1,400 words. Here are some guidelines: WP:FILMPLOT. Erik (talk | contribs) 15:36, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Believer
[edit]What does "cling to their beliefs", and "non-believer" mean? Is this a reference to religion?101.98.163.177 (talk) 07:19, 15 April 2015 (UTC)
