Birth date[edit]

It surprises me that his date of birth seems not to be known. Families in general, and clergymen in particular, were renowned for recording family details in their bibles, if nowhere else.

This says he was born in "1790 or possibly early 1791". What we have now is simply "1791". How have we gone backwards in precision, rather than forwards? If early 1791 (but not the rest of 1791) was a possibility at some stage, how come it's now the whole of 1791 that's a possibility? -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 20:59, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Birth place Ringwold[edit]

Ringwold is a red link, mainly because there seems to be no such place in Kent. There is a Ringwould in Kent, and there has been a Ringwald in Kent, apparently.

I suggest these are all the same place under variant spellings, but I could be wrong. Does anyone know more? -- Jack of Oz ^{[pleasantries]} 21:09, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
