Proposed deletion[edit]

I tagged this for deletion because the individual really does not seem to be notable. It doesn't seem worth bringing up an AfD discussion, but both BLP1E and WP:ONEEVENT strongly suggest to me that this should be a redirect back to the main article, and the information should go there. (Unless the individual is indeed notable outside the attack and did have a greater documented role than being an unfortunate victim.) But he appears to meet the BLP1E criteria: he is a low-profile individual (as defined there), only appears notable for one event, and does not appear to have a significant and documented role, beyond being an unfortunate victim of the attack. – 2001:db8:: (rfc | diff) 15:13, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't oppose merging and redirecting to the main article, but his name was released a very short time ago so it may be worth waiting a bit to see what other information comes out. GabrielF (talk) 15:17, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I have no problem with that, part of why I didn't want to open an AfD. :) Let's wait and see what happens, then. – 2001:db8:: (rfc | diff) 15:18, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think you've already managed to dig up enough information to make him seem to be both a high-profile individual (his work with the MRFF, etc) and notable past the attack (MRFF, his book). I removed the deletion tag since I don't think it's warranted anymore. Good job; sorry if I perhaps jumped the gun a bit! – 2001:db8:: (rfc | diff) 16:33, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
