Plagiarism?[edit]

While researching to categorize this article I found exact copy at the Jethva article. All info there was deleted and replaced with a redirect. All banners and tags are moved to Jethwa.-----Adimovk5 (talk) 00:31, 5 December 2007 (UTC) 17:29, 30 November 2007 User:Jethva (Talk | contribs) m (1,803 bytes) created Jethva ---only contrib 14:51, 27 September 2007 User:Scarface141 (Talk | contribs) (1,125 bytes) created Jethwa ---3 contribs[reply]

Jethwa dynasty[edit]

I recommend to create separate Jethwa dynasty article. And leave this article focused on clan.--Nizil (talk) 12:17, 14 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Practically nothing here is decently sourced so I do not hold out much hope for a separate article on the dynasty at this point. - Sitush (talk) 09:22, 5 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sitush, I do understand that there are lot of problems with article and references but you should not revert it to old poor version without checking several improvements. You can add reliable references to text and just remove unreliable references instead of just reverting. You have removed helpful information in Origin section. I had added several sources of Raj era to clearly mentioned what colonial writers had wrote and what other later reliable scholars like M. A. Dhaky and others have written.
I had suggested separate Jethwa dynasty article for ruling dynasty and Jethwa for clan. Two different topics such as Gohil clan and Gohil dynasty. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 07:06, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Raj era sources are not reliable. Nor is Virbhadra Singhji. - Sitush (talk) 08:06, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sitush, You are removing whatever reference I add only because it is published before 1947. A. S. Atlekar's study of copper-plates published in Epigraphica Indica (1929) is not reliable?? What should I do? At least find me one reliable source on Jethwas. So I can understand what satisfies you. Removing things is easy and finding/adding is hard.-Nizil (talk) 06:07, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Please read WP:BURDEN. I've looked myself in the past and have come very close to suggesting that the article should be deleted. - Sitush (talk) 06:09, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
OK. I can not find more so I am giving up. Lack of modern studies/references should not be only reason to delete an article.--Nizil (talk) 06:12, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Believe me, I know that feeling. - Sitush (talk) 06:28, 10 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Sitush:, I have added an inscription. The source is dated 1939 which is collection inscriptions of Kathiawar region. Is it OK? Your help in finding and evaluating source is needed. Regards,--Nizil (talk) 12:03, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Inscriptions are primary sources and any comments about them from the Raj era probably need to be re-evaluated by modern sources because the Raj people got quite a lot of ancient/medieval etc history wrong. That is also why, speaking more generally, WP:HISTRS applies. - Sitush (talk) 12:16, 17 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
